Marvelous and perfect location with free parking for guests. Set near to restaurants, downtown San Marcos, and the outlet in a really quiet area. - Nice building and rooms for the value. - Surprisingly good and excellent breakfast for complimentary offering.

I liked that it was close to Texas State, so we could attend our daughter's graduation and have a nice place, near by, to stay.
I like the suite, because there is someplace to sit other than just the bed. I also like that we have a fridge and microwave to use if we want. I found the room to be clean as far as the sheets and bathroom were concerned. But this time and the last time (this past summer) we found things that neither the maid service nor we expected. So I can't blame the staff, as the items were in odd places. In the summer, there was a little boy's underware way back in the corner, under the bathroom sink. This visit, there was a piece of cheese stuck between the corner of the couch and the wall. I blame rude guests, not the staff, because who would think you need to look in these out of the way places to be sure all is picked up and clean? Except for these small things, we really enjoyed our room, the breakfasts, and the location of this San Marcos Holiday Inn Express.
